Acceptable use policy

Rebeckon is for permission-based email: messages people asked to receive. These rules protect your recipients and keep everyone's emails reaching the inbox. They apply to every account and are part of our Terms of Service.

Who you may email

• Only people who gave you clear permission to receive marketing email from your business, for example by signing up on your website or at checkout.
• No bought, rented, scraped, shared or "opt-out" lists, and no lists from co-registration or giveaways run by others.
• Keep a record of when and how each person agreed, and stop emailing people who unsubscribe. Rebeckon does that automatically.

What every marketing email must have

• Your real business name and postal address. Rebeckon adds them from Settings → Business.
• A working unsubscribe link, plus one-click unsubscribe. Both are added automatically and must not be hidden or removed.
• Honest "From" names, subject lines and content.

Content you may not send

• Anything illegal, deceptive or fraudulent, including phishing, fake invoices and impersonating another company.
• Malware, or links to it; content that infringes others' rights.
• Adult content, illegal drugs, weapons, gambling where it isn't licensed, get-rich-quick schemes, debt relief or credit repair offers, and multi-level marketing recruitment.
• Hate, harassment, or content that exploits children.

Sending health

High bounce rates and spam complaints harm everyone who sends through us. If an account's bounce or complaint rate goes above industry norms (about 2% bounces or 0.1% complaints), we may pause its sending while we work with you to fix the cause. New accounts send at a lower daily volume until we've reviewed them.

Laws

You must follow the email and privacy laws that apply to you and your recipients, such as CAN-SPAM (US), CASL (Canada), GDPR and ePrivacy (EU and UK), and India's DPDP Act.

If the rules are broken

We may pause sending, remove content, or suspend or close the account, with or without notice, depending on how serious it is. To report abuse, contact hello@rebeckon.com.
